Privacy policy
In short: this site sets no cookies, uses no tracking tools, and we never sell your data. Here is, in plain English, what happens when you contact us.
Who is responsible for your data?
Claire Exemple, La Marge (fictional business), Rue de l'Exemple 21, 1340 Ottignies-Louvain-la-Neuve (company number 0000.000.097). Questions: bonjour@la-marge.example.
Which data, and why?
- When you call us, email us or send a WhatsApp message, we receive what you choose to tell us (name, contact details, message, possibly an address). We only use it to reply, send you a quote and provide the service you asked for. Legal basis: steps prior to a contract and its performance (article 6.1.b GDPR) or, for a simple question, our legitimate interest in replying (article 6.1.f).
- WhatsApp is a service of WhatsApp Ireland Limited (Meta group), with its own terms. If you prefer, call or email us.
- The web host (Cloudflare, Inc.) logs, like any web server, technical data (IP address, requested page, date and time) for security and to keep the site running. We do not use it to track you. This host may process the data outside the European Union; such transfers are covered by GDPR safeguards.
- Children's data: when the pupil is a minor, a parent or guardian contacts us and gives the information needed: first name, school year, subjects, any special needs. We ask for nothing more than what the tutoring needs, we do not contact a child under 13 (the age of digital consent in Belgium) directly without their parents' agreement, and parents can see, correct or delete this information at any time. It is deleted at the latest 12 months after the last lesson.
For how long?
Messages and quote requests that lead nowhere are deleted after 12 months at the latest. If you become a customer, accounting documents (accepted quotes, invoices) are kept for as long as Belgian law requires.
Who do we share it with?
Nobody but us, except the technical providers listed above and, if needed, our accountant. We never sell or rent your data.
Cookies and external links
This site sets no cookies, so there is nothing to accept. Links to Google Maps, WhatsApp or social media take you to those services, which apply their own rules.
Your rights
You can ask us at any time to access, correct or delete your data, to restrict or object to its use, or to receive it in a common format. Write to bonjour@la-marge.example: we reply within one month.
If you believe your rights are not respected, you can lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority, rue de la Presse 35, 1000 Brussels (www.dataprotectionauthority.be).
